JOB SUMMARY: The Division Chief is dire ctly responsible to the Chair , Department of Surgery, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine for the Division's overall function . The Chief will also serve as the Chief Surgical Officer for the specialty at Jackson Health System and the Chief of the Surgical Service at the VAMC for clinical activities within that Institution. On an annual basis, the performance of the Chief shall be evaluated by the Chair of the Department of Surgery based on the effectiveness of his/her leadership role and the satisfactory execution of duties.
