Rad Tech Procedural Assistant

Job description

Integral part of the Radiology team providing patient and departmental support ensuring efficient workflow and safe patient care performing a wide range of services. Requires excellent communication, customer service, critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills and strong attention to detail. Requires the ability to prioritize daily tasks simultaneously within a fast paced, ever changing work environment; must be adaptable and flexible within a strong team structure. Functions include, but not limited to pre and post procedure and exam set up and tasks, assist with clerical needs, stocking, inventory management, room turn over, disinfection of department and equipment. Procedural duties include sterile procedure set up, adherence to Universal Protocol, identification verification, specimen and medication labeling, specimen collection and handling. Assists with patient transport, patient transfer techniques, exam set up and patient positioning.
