About the role Build a career within a fun and positive workplace in this Painting and Decorating Apprenticeship based in Albury Wodonga . Working a full-time roster, the successful apprentice will complete a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating , while gaining hands on experience within commercial, residential and decorative finishings. You will travel to different job sites across Albury and Wodonga and be exposed to a multitude of projects. What you will be doing: - Carry out measurements and calculations and interpret plans - Mixing of paints and matching colors accurately - Use painting equipment to apply different types of paint finishes - Conduct surface protection and preparation (removal of wall coverings, sanding, patching, sealing, priming and fixing woodwork) - Constructing scaffolding and ladders - Consulting with customers to understand color and style requirements - Gain practical experience in the safe use and maintenance of tools and equipment - Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations - Complete other tasks as directed.
