Job description

Work with skilled supervision to perform the following: Setup, programming, and operation on CNC horizontal/vertical lathes and mills Set up and run fixtures and parts on manual lathes and/or VTLs. Reads and interprets, blueprints, technical work instructions, specifications, and engine manuals in order to determine the machining sequences and operations to be performed Ability to set up a component for machining, including indicating, tramming, and restraining the work piece. Has a solid understanding of machining parameters for different alloy types and can interpret and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Program, edit, and understand both conversational and G-Code programming on mills and lathes, including reference points, tool setting, offsets, and compensation Ability to use a variety of precision measurement equipment, such as calipers, gages, and micrometers to obtain dimensions down to +/- 0.0002” Continually updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and training programs.
