Role Overview The Senior Linux Engineer will join our technology team at a leading retail bank. This role is embedded within the IT Security organization and is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining enterprise Linux infrastructure. You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, integrity, and security of Linux-based systems, with a strong focus on automation, compliance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), configuration management, and scripting, along with a security-first mindset aligned to banking regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, harden, and maintain Linux-based servers (primarily RHEL) across enterprise environments - Implement and enforce security best practices, including system hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation - Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability; proactively identify and resolve issues - Automate operational tasks and workflows using Bash scripting and Ansible - Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for configuration management, patching, and system provisioning - Support and manage Linux envi...
