Job description

The seasonal Community Engagement Assistant supports the efforts of Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Education staff with engaging multilingual community members in learning more a bout Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and the various programming offered and ensuring programming offered is meeting needs of the community we serve. The Community Engagement Assistant will interpret and translate messaging to the Spanish speaking community and prepare written communications in the Spanish language. - Regular and predictable attendance is expected and required. All Cleveland Metroparks employees must be prepared to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required. - Assists with community outreach and engagement program by engaging members of the community, including members of the Spanish speaking community, to inform them of programming opportunities offered, and learn the needs of community members to create programming to meet those needs. - Provides interpretation and translation of the Spanish language to English language - Assists with conducting community needs assessment and identifying opportunities - Assists with zoo educational programs within the zoo and o...
