Supervisor, Inbound Domestic Transportation - ( 26003736 ) Description GENERAL PURPOSE: To lead, direct, develop and coordinate the inbound flow of merchandise from domestic sources to multiple retail distribution centers. This position will monitor and adjust the workflow and staff based on volume and productivity needs. The inbound flow of merchandise must be provided at an economical level according to Ross service requirements. This position will interface with carriers, vendors, and Ross departments or divisions as appropriate. COMPETENCIES: - Responsible for the analysis and execution of optimal freight levels for multiple DCs based on budgeted productivity by product class. - Supervise a staff of 5-7 associates coordinating the inbound supply-chain activity, routing, tracing, network optimization for $30M of transportation expenses annually. - Develop and implement the transportation plan for inbound domestic freight from Ross vendors to DCs. Provide analysis and support to the inbound group in all areas of inbound transportation, including transportation scheduling, tracking & tracing.
