Description The Resource Center Learning Specialist supports and advances the mission of FCS by supporting students with learning differences, enabling them to succeed in all areas, supports teachers to best meeting student needs in the classroom; reports to the Resource Center Coordinator. - Works as a Resource Center instructor for Level 1 and Level 2 RTI students, using instructional programs that are appropriate to the students’ needs - Provides both pull out and push in and small group interventions, with guidance and direction from the Resource Center Coordinator - Collects and uses data formally and informally to assess student needs and monitor progress - Develops a warm rapport with students and a positive, secure teaching environment - Becomes familiar with grade level/course curriculum objectives to support overall school learning goals - Writes quarterly academic goals - Uses school software to track student progress (e.g. weekly or bi-weekly) and to record daily session notes, which cultivates communication and fosters a collaborative approach to student learning - Develops and updates Educational Service Plans (ESP) - Writes quarterly student summaries - Willingly and...
