Description Summary: The Upper School science teacher is a committed educator who will challenge students to perform at their best. This individual will engage students in chemistry and biology courses, offering dynamic learning experiences in collaboration with other science department faculty. Primary Responsibilities: - Maintain Duchesne’s excellent science education program. - Adapt teaching methods, instructional materials, and assessment tools to meet students’ varying needs and interests. - Work collaboratively with science faculty to design and implement chemistry and biology curricula. - Evaluate each student’s growth and performance. - Supervise students in a variety of school-related settings and activities. - Other duties, as assigned by your supervisor. Requirements: Minimum Education/Prior Experience/Qualifications Required: - Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or related subject matter; master’s degree preferred. - Three years of experience teaching chemistry or biology courses at the high school level. - Proven competency with leveraging technology in instruction. - Strong references that convey teaching abilities.
