Engineer I/II/Sr - Facility Planning

Job description

This is a multi-level posting. Candidates may be considered for any of the levels posted, depending on their level of experience and depth of expertise. This position is responsible for identifying project scope alternatives, estimating the cost of these alternatives and making recommendations regarding the optimal facilities required to meet commercial objectives. Provides system planning analysis and cost estimating; supplies system outage analysis; defines system constraints and determines throughput maximization to optimize the system's performance. Evaluates project alternatives to enhance business opportunities and increase customer service; develops project scopes and economic feasibility to support operations and marketing strategies. Researches and identifies new and alternative technologies to promote a safe, reliable and efficient pipeline operation. Acts as a liaison to gas control, market services, operations and marketing as well as other transportation management units to coordinate outages for compression and pipeline facilities for Northern, provide information and facilitate the resolution of problems.
