Job DetailsJob Location: 51-Springfield Automall - Springfield, OH 45504 Automotive Mainline Service Technician is a core technician in an automotive repair facility or dealership who handles a wide range of essential mechanical and diagnostic services. This role typically focuses on complex repairs and maintenance tasks beyond the basic oil changes and tire rotations done by entry-level techs. Automotive Technician - Essential Duties: Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, by the dealership and factory standards. Diagnoses the cause of most malfunctions and performs repair. Communicates with the parts department to obtain needed parts. Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer. Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. Communicates with the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if the work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
