Pay: $27.31 - $31.95 Salary: $56,805.69 - $66,465.37: The Senior Planner performs professional planning activities involving maintaining and updating the Comprehensive Plan, reviews proposed development for consistency with the Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code and conducts a variety of planning studies. The position coordinates activities with County Departments, other local governments, and State, regional and Federal agencies. The employee also represents the Department before citizen groups, State and other agencies, County committees, the Planning Commission and the Board of County Commissioners. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Prepares updates of the Comprehensive Plan, reviews proposed land use changes and text amendments, and reviews changes to the Land Development Code and related and/or supportive documents Review proposed development plans and monitor development activity on an ongoing basis Performs specialized research and analysis in areas of land use, transportation, public facility planning and financing, and other planning-related issues Represents the Director in meetings and before the public Performs other...
