Picking Station Operator Application Deadline: 5 June 2026: Department: Operations: Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Manchester: Reporting To: Production Manager: Description: o Recycling Operator : Be proficient in operating all machinery and plant essential to the business unit, ensuring their safe and efficient use. o The main duties of the role will include working on a production line picking contamination from recyclable good from the picking line. o Manual labour/general tidying around the yard or picking station. o This role is very physically demanding, so must be fit and healthy, requires you to be on your feet all day. o You must be able to work independently and as part of a team. o Previous experience within a labouring environment is desirable but not essential. o Work ethic is very key, and this will be monitored frequently by site supervisors. - Conduct daily and weekly checks on machinery and plant. - Perform lubrication and greasing as needed to maintain operational standards. - Promptly record and report any defects or breakdowns to ensure timely resolution.
