Combat Systems Engineer

The role As part of the DDG Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team, the Combat Systems Engineer will primarily contribute to the development of the Guided-missile Destroyer (DDG) requirements baseline and the successful delivery of updated DDG specifications in support of upgrades to the DDG Combat System (CS) under the Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) upgrade. Further, the successful candidate will: Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and a 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role. - Contribute to and execute activities supporting requirements analysis, architecture definition and development of subsystems and associated components in preparation for integration, test and trials/evaluation. - Develop, maintain and update system functional and non-functional requirements and design artefacts. - Prepare for and support the execution of major program milestones such as design reviews, test readiness and system readiness reviews. - Develop, prosecute and support the implementation of approved Engineering Change. - Interact with specialty engineering disciplines, such as Safety, Human Factors, Cyber, Topside and ILS.
