College Launch Summer Counselors

Overview USU Blanding Campus is accepting applications for candidates to serve as counselors/tutors to participants in the 2025 College Launch Summer Program. This 4-week comprehensive programs offer assistance to recently graduated high school seniors in academic subjects such as Math, Geology, Public Speaking, and College Preparation. Counselors are required to live in the residence hall and will mentor and tutor participants on a daily basis. Room and board will be provided along with a salary of $3,700 for the four weeks. Summer employment begins May 23, 2026 and continues through June 20, 2026. Any scheduling conflicts must be discussed and approved in advance. Responsibilities: - Assist College Launch (CL) participants in improving academic achievement either in a group or individually by meeting with them on a regular basis to clarify learning problems and work on study skills. - Must be able to tutor participants in Math, Geology, Public Speaking, and/or College Preparation courses. - Assist participants with financial aid applications and scholarships. - Monitor attendance and academic performance of participants on a daily basis. - Meet with CL Director regularly to ascer...
