Senior Legal Counsel – Africa & Middle East (AME) Position Overview: Barrick Mining Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join the Africa & Middle East (AME) Regional Legal team. This role will provide senior-level legal support across a broad range of matters, including corporate and commercial matters, contracts, regulatory matters, M&A work as well as other matters ancillary to mining. The role will play a key part in ensuring compliance with local legislation, including evolving local content requirements, while supporting the business in managing legal risk and enabling operational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: - Provide strategic legal advice to the AME operations teams as well as management on a wide range of matters, including corporate, commercial and regulatory matters, to support effective decision making and risk management. - Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across AME, including new and evolving local content legislation. - Support the structuring, negotiation, and drafting of commercial agreements, including supply contracts, tenders, shareholder agreements and joint venture arrangements. - Advise on corporate go...
