Under the supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor, collects blood specimens for the laboratory from appropriate patients according to the Standard Operating Procedure Manual (SOPM) and accepted practices. na EDUCATION: Minimum: Preferred: LICENSE: Minimum: - High School graduate - Training in phlebotomy - Valid NYS driver's license clear of violations consistent with FLH Policy Preferred: SKILLS: Minimum: - Certified phlebotomist - Previous phlebotomy experience - Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the people in a professional and courteous manner. - Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. - Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills. - Computer literacy - Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical record
