Job description

Job Summary Has primary responsibility for the Planned (PM) and Corrective Maintenance of the hospital building's interior and exterior services. Applies paint, varnish, stain, wall cover and other finishes to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces, equipment and furniture of hospital facilities. Preps surfaces and applies coats of paint, stains and other surface coatings to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces, trimmings and fixtures, using paint brushes, rollers, scrapers and heat sources Essential Functions: Performs all responsibilities/duties required by the unit. Performs other duties as assigned. Preps, fabricates and installs hospital signage. Must be eligible for overtime status. Is able to work reasonable extended hours to accomplish priority repairs and to fill in for disaster, vacation or illness coverage. Makes decisions on equipment and material needs to successfully complete a job. Responsible for following standard safety requirements, taking adequate precautions to protect adjacent hospital equipment, furniture and other items and maintain work area in clean and safe condition.
