Lead Traffic Clerk - 2nd Shift

Job description

Lead and train a team who compile and maintain records of inbound and outbound shipments, plan and direct driver’s assignments including checking them in, assign their doors, and check them out once the load is complete. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Plan, assign and direct the work of a Traffic Clerk team - Ensure the team is providing timely follow-up on all issues or concerns - Act as liaison between operations and transportation to verify shipping/receiving documents are completed accurately and timely - Partner with operations and transportation to prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports (if applicable) - Communicate concerns and route reports to appropriate team members - Provide ongoing training to team members as needed ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES): - Basic math skills may be required at some facilities - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers; English may be required - Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite - Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up t...
