Job description

Job Summary: Performs diagnostic sleep testing and CPAP trials per physician order and in accordance with department policy and procedure. Makes necessary arrangements for follow-up care and home therapy as prescribed by the physician Essential Job Duties: - Oversees and performs difficult and unusual procedures and therapeutic interventions. Analyzes complex situations and applies policy. - Oversees and assures department compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards including State Board of Health, the Joint Commission and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. - Performs technically adequate and interpretable diagnostic sleep studies and CPAP studies on a wide variety of patients and in adherence to departmental policy and procedure and the industry standard of care. This includes continuous monitoring of patient activity before, during and after testing to ensure patient safety and quality recordings. - Performs equipment calibrations, preventative maintenance and cleaning according to department policy and procedure.
