Position Summary: This position will provide optical integration, metrology, and systems engineering support for spacecraft, flight and non‑flight instruments, and associated ground support equipment. Work includes installation, alignment, testing, verification, calibration, and documentation support across development, integration, pre‑flight, and post‑flight operations. Primary Responsibilities: - Perform optical integration activities including installation, alignment, testing, verification, and calibration of spacecraft and instrument hardware. - Provide optical and mechanical metrology support for spacecraft, flight and non‑flight instruments, components, and assemblies. - Support requirements development, verification, and environmental simulation testing, including data analysis and modeling. - Fabricate and use specialized optical fixtures and tooling within GSFC facilities. - Assemble and develop flight and non‑flight optical systems in accor...
