H2M architects + engineers, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, environmental consulting firm in Melville, NY seeks Project Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Department. Job Responsibilities: - Design and coordination of work on multidiscipline projects ranging from due diligence/site feasibility studies, site engineering, through regulatory approvals and full permitting. - Develop site layout and design, including site grading and storm drainage, roadway design, water and sewer infrastructure, erosion and sediment control. - Prepare hydrology and hydraulic calculations and be knowledgeable of NYSDEC stormwater management and SWPPP requirements. - Perform project administration including writing reports, gathering information, writing proposals & correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports. - Prepare engineer's opinion of probable costs for designed projects and specifications for public bids. - Coordinate with other engineering and architectural departments within the firm. - Communicate directly with clients in support and coordination of all project activities. - Responsible for the on-time, on budget, high quality technical delivery of...
