Job Summary Provides legal advice to clients on complex regulatory matters. Combines knowledge of one or more legal specialties with sound business acumen, and knowledge of business goals and objectives. Supports NIPSCO in execution of regulatory strategy and associated filings related to operations in Indiana before the IURC. Essential Functions: Resolves legal issues and provides proactive, business-savvy legal advice and counsel. Manages multiple complex matters simultaneously. Retains and supervises/manages outside counsel on select matters. Anticipates internal/external business and regulatory issues and provides applicable legal advice. Prepares, reviews, and revises legal documents, such as regulatory applications, supporting testimony, legal briefs, and proposed orders. Negotiates with outside parties on contractual issues and legal disputes. Assists in advising and training clients on legal issues, including preparation of clients to serve as regulatory witnesses.
