Med/Surg | PCU Step-Down | Observation | Swing Bed Our Mixed Acuity Unit provides a fast-paced but supportive environment where nurses care for a diverse medical and surgical patient population across multiple levels of care. This unit offers strong teamwork, manageable workloads, and excellent opportunities for skill development. Unit Structure: - 4th Floor: 21-bed Mixed Med/Surg & PCU Step-Down - 3rd Floor: 12-bed Observation, Extended Recovery & Swing Bed Patient Population: Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, Afib, sepsis, GI bleeds, SBO, post-op orthopedic cases (hips/knees), and cardiac stents.
