Provides a leadership role utilizing knowledge, security expertise, support and education to staff to assure optimum performance of department. Provides security through daily surveillance of building and adjoining grounds for patients, employees and visitors. Adjusts communications specific to the age, developmental stage, and comprehension level of a population that spans adolescents to geriatrics (excluding newborns). Applies knowledge of cultural factors appropriately in communications and interactions of the population being served. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. High school diploma or equivalent. EXPERIENCE: 1. Three (3) years’ experience in a safety or security related field. 2. Previous experience supervising a staff of employees.
