Position Overview: - Department: Emergency Department - Schedule: Full-time Day Shift - Work Location : UAB St. Vincent's St. Clair - Pell City, Al. - Benefits for eligible positions include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more What You Will Do: Manage emergency services activities, workflow and nursing resources. - Ensure departmental compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. - Assist with hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of nursing staff. - Identiy and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in a unit. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit. - Monitor and adhere to budget(s). Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines. What You Will Need: Education: - Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. - BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
