Visiting Professor and Director of Dance

Description Lewis & Clark College, a small liberal arts college with ~2,100 undergraduates located in beautiful Portland Oregon, invites applications for a visiting position to teach a 5-course load within the dance curriculum and take on the Directorship of Dance Program. The successful applicant will join a supportive, collaborative, creative, and inclusive community of teacher-scholars and artists committed to providing a transformative undergraduate education that prepares students for meaningful careers and lifelong discovery. This position will contribute to the college through instruction, creative research and directorship of the dance program with a vision towards sustaining the program's current impact while growing the program in new directions. The department is open to areas of expertise and interested faculty who can teach courses that take an interdisciplinary and expansive approach to performance. Course rotation includes a Fundamentals of Movement/Experiential Anatomy class that serves the general student population as well as more specialized courses serving students within the dance minor.
