Summary The Aircraft Mechanic III performs maintenance to service, repair, and overhaul aircraft to insure airworthiness. Utilizes technical skills and knowledge to train and develop mechanics. Assists Leads with daily operation of functional area while working under minimal supervision. T his is a temporary role, employed through an agency . Essential Duties and Responsibilities: General: - Oversees and co-signs for uncertified mechanics in accordance with the GTI RSM procedures. - Has vast knowledge of all areas of the aircraft and assigned work area. - Repair, modify, replace, or otherwise perform routine and non-routine aircraft maintenance work. - Reads and interprets manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings, engineering orders, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement, or modification. - Rig and operational test all flight control surfaces including but not limited to landing gear systems and engine systems. - Troubleshoots landing gear, flight control, engines, hydraulic and air-conditioning systems. - Uses technical data to order parts and ensure material is effective for aircraft being installed on...
