Description The University of New Haven is in search of Mathematics Adjunct Instructors to begin in Fall 2022. The position supports the instructional needs of the Mathematics and Physics Department in teaching. This particular plea is for an instructor to teach one or more Pre-calculus, college level Calculus I, Calculus II or Calculus III course(s). - Courses are on-ground, remote or flex, tbd. - Eligible candidates will be asked to present a teaching demonstration (via Zoom) as part of the hiring process. Qualifications: 1. excellent written and oral communication skills 2. a Master’s or Ph.D. in Mathematics or related fields 3. ability to prepare online courses with best pedagogical practice in mind 4. experience with instructional technology 5. experience with previous online/remote or hybrid teaching, using web based instructional software, or other learning management systems 6. familiarity with, or the ability to quickly adopt, the Canvas LMS.
