Department: 35820 Aurora St. Lukes Medical Center - Med Surg: IU 10 South Angioplasty Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 36 Schedule Details/Additional Information: - 12-hour shifts. - rotation required: every other weekend and 50% of the holidays each year Pay Range: $21.85 - $32.80 Key Responsibilities: Assist RNs with daily patient care including hygiene, repositioning, ambulation, feeding, and general cleaning. Perform and document vital signs, intake/output, daily weights, and other patient data. Independently carry out advanced care tasks such as: Arterial sheath removal Bladder scanning: Foley catheter insertion/removal: Arterial blood draws and ACT testing IV insertion, site care, and removal (peripheral) Telemetry monitoring and interpretation: 12-lead EKGs and phlebotomy Monitor patient status and promptly report changes or concerns to the RN. Assist with admissions, discharges, post-mortem care, and patient transport. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
