Hours of Work: Variable/Rotating/On Call Days Of Week: Variable/Rotating/On Call Work Shift: PRN (United States of America) Job Description: Job Purpose The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) will provide timely, non-judgmental, compassionate care to the sexual assault victim. The SANE exam may include a medical-forensic exam, prophylaxis for pregnancy sexually transmitted infections, photographic documentation, and referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up, support and participation in legal proceedings. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing- BSN preferred Licenses and/or Certifications: Valid and Current Texas RN license. Current SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) certification from the Texas Attorney General office or Currently in-progress of certification and obtained within 6 months of hire Current TNCC: Work Experience: Two years of Emergency Department or Acute Care Experience, preferred Methodist Dallas Medical Center is one of North Texas’ best places to work.
