Job Title Assistant Athletic Director for Events Agency: Texas A&M University - Texarkana Department: University Athletics Proposed Minimum Salary: Commensurate Job Location: Texarkana, Texas Job Type: Staff Job Description: The Assistant Athletic Director for Events provides leadership and oversight for game-day operations, facility scheduling, and event management for all intercollegiate sports. This individual ensures that all home contests are conducted in compliance with NCAA, Lone Star Conference, and University requirements while providing a high-quality experience for student-athletes and fans. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Game-Day Operations & Management Event Execution: Oversee the setup and breakdown of all home athletic events (e.g., basketball, football at the stadium, soccer/softball complexes). Game Staffing: Recruit, hire, train, and supervise event personnel, including ticket takers, ushers, clock operators, PA announcers, and ball boys. Visiting Team & Officials Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for visiting teams and game officials (referees/umpires), ensuring their locker room and travel needs are met.
