Part-Time Faculty: Data Science Summer Program Summer 2026

Job description

Overview: The Data Science Program in the College of Arts and Sciences at Quinnipiac University is seeking applications for a part-time faculty instructor for the Data Science Summer Program (link to program details). This exciting 2-week, pre-college, summer program for high school students will run from 9:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday from July 6-17, 2026 (two weeks). There is a $2,000 planning experience stipend and another $2,000 per week for instruction (maximum compensation of $6,000). Room and board may be available for qualified candidates. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related discipline. A graduate degree, or current enrollment in a graduate program in one of these disciplines, is highly desirable. Prior experience in teaching Python and/or R, especially in secondary education, is preferred. In consultation with the Data Science Program, the instructor will be responsible for helping design and implement the program activities that help high-school-aged students to explore the breadth and depth of data science.
