Description The Yale Research Initiative on Innovation and Scale (Y-RISE) at the Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies at Yale University seeks to appoint a Post-Doctoral Associate starting AY 2026-2027, with a possibility of renewal for up to 3 years, conditional on satisfactory progress and performance. Candidates must have research and training experience in social sciences or public policy. This position will focus on developing a research and policy agenda focused on the complexities that arise when taking development interventions to scale. With the complexities of scale as a central interest, research and policy activities may span a broad range of topics such as water, sanitation, and hygiene; migrant integration and livelihoods; electrification, energy and the environment; agricultural extensions; transportation; housing and infrastructure; reducing gender-based violence; delivery of physical health, mental health, and education services; climate change adaptation; and income generation.
