Summer Student Reports To: Yard Manager: Classification: Hourly: Required Work Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm: Job Summary: The Summer Student position is responsible for maintaining the yard/lawn/grounds by performing regular and directed grounds landscape maintenance. Mowing/Maintaining lawns: riding or push mowers, trimming, and edging around, shrubs, ground cover, sidewalks, and building. Painting floors, walls, handrails. Sweeping, cleaning, organizing. Job Duties: Follows all safety rules and adheres to all administrative rules and guards. Machines, tools and equipment operated by the Summer Student position: Including but not limited to: broom, shovel, rake, hoses, grabber, lawn mower, weed whacker, ladders. Physical Job Demands: Stands/Walks-8 hours: Pushes/Pulls- 10-25 pounds frequently: Lifts/Carries- 10-50 pounds frequently: Simple grasping both hands- frequently: Pushing/Pulling both hands- frequently: Bends at waist- frequently: Squats- frequently: Climbs Stairs- frequently: Climbs Ladders-occasionally: Kneels on ground- occasionally: Reaching-Above Shoulder-occasionally: Balance-Must maintain balance for hillside weed whacking and mowing Environmental Factors: Is exposed to...
