Owl Labs is seeking a highly motivated Embedded Systems Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing advanced audio, video, and wireless systems for our cutting-edge communications and conferencing products. This is an in-person role based out of our Somerville office. WHAT YOU'LL DO: - Design and implement state-of-the-art hardware for teleconferencing applications. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate embedded solutions into our product ecosystem based on both Android and Embedded Linux SoC’s. - Analyze and troubleshoot complex hardware-related issues in existing products - Define, optimize, and test RF system designs for BLE & WiFi. - Define, optimize, and test communication system designs for: HDMI, DP, USB, Ethernet - Conduct research on emerging audio and video technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve product performance - Develop and optimize both microphones and speaker assemblies that integrate into our product portfolio. - Characterize and tune both speaker and microphone elements using various DSP systems (Smart Amp, SoC, etc.).
