Staff Accountant

Job description

Position Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and performing advanced accounting activities, ensuring accuracy of financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting financial analysis and decision-making. This role typically supervises accounting staff, manages complex accounting tasks, and assists with audits, budgeting, financial controls and balance sheet reconciliations. This role will have a significant role in the management and oversight of the AP and AR functions including overall process improvements to the procure to pay and order to cash process. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements . - Monthly closing of AP and AR. - Manage and oversee general ledger activities , including journal entries and account reconciliations. - Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies . - Analyze financial data and provide insightful reporting to management . - Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting . - Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes . - Review work prepared by staff accountants to ensure accuracy and completeness. - Coordinate...
