Description Housing Specialist: Covers Lake County: Weekend coverage for 24-7 facility: Weekends, partial weekends available (flexible hours) Shift Worker status / no benefits (less than 20 hours/week) $15/hour Next Step is a community-based case management and stabilization program providing support for young adults ages 18-24 in Geauga, Lake and Portage Counties who have experienced hardships such as abuse, neglect or homelessness. Our goal is to aid with their transition to independence. We do this by securing stable housing, teaching life skills and providing resources to promote a strong foundation for self-reliance. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Answers homeless emergency crisis line to conduct assessments, explore housing options and directly coordinate referrals to appropriate resources. Under the direction of the Program Operations Coordinator, admits homeless persons to appropriate shelter when space is available. Must be able to work alone and perform all job functions.
