Job description

Essential Responsibilities: - Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies for procedures. - Set up the operating room, including sterile drapes, solutions, and instrumentation. - Ensure compliance with Surgical Center policies, regulations, and industry standards. - Perform pre-operative preparation of patients, including skin preparation and positioning. - Assemble, inspect, and adjust sterile and non-sterile equipment to ensure proper function. - Assist with patient transport to the operating room and proper positioning on the surgical table. - Apply sterile draping and maintain the sterile field throughout the procedure. - Monitor patient information, verify charts, and assist the surgical team with gowning and gloving. - Pass instruments and sterile supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants. - Assist with surgical counts (sponges, needles, instruments, and supplies). - Hold retractors, cut sutures, and support the surgical team as directed. - Prepare, label, and properly handle specimens for laboratory analysis. - Operate sterilizers, suction devices, surgical lights, and other diagnostic equipment as needed. - Assist with patient transfer to t...
