Job DetailsJob Location: LaPorte - LaPorte, IN 46350The Safety Specialist will plan, organize, and supervise the day-to-day operations to identify, evaluate and assess probability and severity of losses. Implement safety programs and communicate to ensure compliance with such programs. This position will ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable regulatory standards which will include minimal environmental responsibilities to support site environmental compliance. Primary Responsibilities: Health, Safety, and Environment: Monitor and review performance against environmental, health, safety, and security (EHSS) key performance indicators (KPIs) and patterns of behavior within the area of responsibility. Take action to improve performance and to resolve noncompliance with the organization's HSE policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions. Information and Business Advice: Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving queries and issues and referring very complex or contentious issues to others.
