Job DetailsJob Location: Great Lakes Division Plant 1 - Sparta, MI 49345 Cascade Die Casting Group Job Description/Expectations: JOB TITLE: Furnace Operator - Weekend Shift CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt: DIVISION/DEPARTMENT: Great Lakes / Melt: DATE DEVELOPED: 01/2023: REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor: WEEKEND SHIFT INFORMATION: CDCG is seeking talented individuals to join their Weekend Crew within our Great Lakes Division. This unique opportunity is 5 AM - 5 PM and will be scheduled 5 AM - 5 PM Sunday/Friday/Saturday. Although this team will be scheduled for 36 hours a week, employees on this team will be paid for a full 40 hours. There is also still opportunity for overtime. POSITION SCOPE: Furnace Operators performs duties in connection with the remelting of metal for the die cast operation. This includes setting up, operating, loading, unloading, and monitoring of furnaces. Operator ensures compliance of furnace cycles by adjusting controls to maintain specified temperatures in furnaces per work instructions.
