Waste Connections Company, is looking for a safety conscious Laborer at the Container Shop to join our Opa Locka FL. Pay: $18.00 per hour: Schedule: Day shift M-F and Rotating Saturdays DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: •General housekeeping and repairs in and around property. Tools are provided. •Assembles, repairs, and washes trash and recycle containers •General yard maintenance •Ability to effectively communicate and understand needed repairs and/or tasks. •Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards. •Available to help managers and others for additional duties as assigned. - Willingness to clean up hazardous spills WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT: •Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds. •The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate. - Work environment may be indoors in a shop, or outdoors to repair trucks on the road. Usually well-lighted and ventilated.
