POSITION TITLE: ELL Teacher DEPARTMENT: Learning Services STATUS: Certified - Exempt HOURS OF WORK: 8 hours a day PAY: Certified Salary Schedule: REPORTS TO: Coordinator of ELL POSITION SUMMARY: This position, a member of the district’s ELL department, is a critical role in improving student achievement of our ELL students. The role of the ELL teacher is to build teacher capacity and their understanding of research-based instructional practices for ELLs and all students. They are responsible for ensuring high-quality instruction in classrooms through modeling, co-planning, co-teaching and providing a formative cycle of feedback to collaborative teams. The ELL teacher will demonstrate and model a passion for education and leadership.
