POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION: Sort, separate, and clean up scrap metal. Run the bailing and shearing machines as needed. Weigh small scrap metal orders as needed. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Constant standing. - Ability to lift 50 lbs. - Ability to meet the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as provided in detail in the Job Analysis Database. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma or GED equivalent. - Ability to work well with other employees. - Ability to follow instructions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience with different types of scrap metal. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Sort, separate, and clean up scrap metal in the yard. - Run the bailing and shearing machines using metal and cardboard. - Weigh small scrap orders for customers. - Ensure a safe work environment and contribute to a highly engaging culture that fosters safety, continuous improvement, teamwork, and trust.
