Job Title Graduate Research Assistant (Bio&Chem) Agency: Texas A&M International University Department: Dept, Biology & Chemistry Proposed Minimum Salary: $18.50 hourly Job Location: Laredo, Texas Job Type: Student Worker Job Description: Job Summary: The Research Assistant will work under supervision and will be responsible for assisting in running and managing on-going research projects. Opportunities will be given to learn the analytical techniques for the SmartChem-210 and Shimadzu TOC-L. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Research and collect data through complex techniques and procedures. Assist with data management and perform basic statistical analyses. Develop assessment and evaluation tools. Other related duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities: Laboratory support as needed. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry or Earth-Environmental Science, Biology or Engineering Field. Enrolled at least half-time, 3 credit hours per semester. Maintain a TAMIU overall GPA of 3.0. Must meet all other requirements as stated in TAMIU’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAPP).
