ONE-YEAR VISITING POSITION –COMMUNICATION STUDIES AND GLOBAL MEDIA AND DIGITAL STUDIES

Job description

Description The Departments of Communication Studies and Global Media and Digital Studies invite applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor of Media Studies with expertise in globalization and/or gender and sexuality to begin August 2022. The successful candidate will teach courses such as Introduction to Media and Cultural Studies; Media, Culture, and Society; Research Methods in Global Media and Digital Studies; Globalization and Identity; and Visual Communication and Culture. In addition, the successful candidate will advise Senior Independent Study thesis projects on student-generated topics and will have the opportunity to contribute to the College’s strategic priorities of experiential learning and diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Department of Communication Studies has four full-time faculty members and graduates approximately 30-35 majors annually.
