The Opportunity (Vacancy: Replacement) Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Operations Administration, this role is responsible for the administration, coordination, regulation, and operational support of school crossing guard services to promote pedestrian safety and ensure compliance with municipal policies, traffic regulations, and safety standards. You will coordinate daily crossing guard operations, support staffing and scheduling activities, and provide operational and administrative support to the department. You will be responsible for ensuring service standards, safety compliance, and effective communication with stakeholders and the public. As the Coordinator, Crossing Guard, you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to: - Coordinate daily operations of the school crossing guard program, including scheduling, staffing coverage, and operational support - Recruit, onboard, train, mentor, and support crossing guards in accordance with departmental procedures and safety standards - Conduct field observations, site assessments, and performance evaluations to ensure program effectiveness and compliance - Investigate and respond to operational concerns, i...
