POSITION SUMMARY: The Histology Lab Operator I is a member of the Histopathy Department responsible for assisting HT/HTLs in analyzing specimens and maintaining equipment in good condition. QUALIFICATIONS: OR A bachelor's, or higher, degree in one of the chemical or biological sciences, including a combination of thirty (30) hours in biology and chemistry; and either one of the following conditions: - Assists certified/licensed personnel in clinical patient testing in accordance with the SOP - Perform histological preparations for the tissue whole exome sequencing laboratory with little to no errors - Duties may include but not limited to: preparation of tissues, stained slides, macrodissection and supporting workflow tasks - Sets up equipment and assists with automated lab procedures, as applicable - Assist and complete daily tasks - Maintains equipment and instruments in good operating condition - Maintain sufficient inventory of material, supplies, and equipment in the laboratory for the performance of duties - Documents information accurately and in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) - Performs other duties as assigned - 0-2 years of experience - An associate's,...
