Director of Pharmacy - Infusion Services - ( 2505689 ) Description Summary: Oversees, plans, and directs all pharmacy operations in the assigned areas provided by the organization for all assigned UTMB Health Campuses. Responsible for the procurement, storage, dispensing and control of all pharmaceuticals within all assigned UTMB Health Campuses and for the promotion of rational, cost effective and appropriate drug usage. Scope: UTMB Hospitals and Clinics throughout the UTMB Health System in assigned areas and campuses. Responsibilities: Oversees and is responsible for pharmacy operations at all assigned UTMB Health campuses in assigned areas. Makes provision for the interviewing, appointing, training, and evaluation of all members of the pharmacy staff. Makes provisions for complying with all legal regulations applying to institutional pharmacy functions. This includes obtaining all licenses and permits such as the pharmacy license, DEA license, tax-free alcohol (Industrial Use Permit) permit, and annual controlled substance inventory.
