This includes examining specifications to determine dimensions of structures and measuring boards, timbers or plywood using various tools. Carpenters must be proficient at sawing boards and plywood panels to required sizes, bracing forms in place with timbers, tie rods, and anchor bolts, and building framework to strengthen, protect, or disguise buildings that are undergoing construction.
